Affected by concerts and events, hotel performance in Hangzhou is expected to continue to rise in March

With the arrival of the peak season for spring tourism, the hotel industry in Hangzhou is experiencing strong growth. In March, multiple large-scale concerts and high-level sports events were held in Hangzhou, attracting a large number of tourists and audiences, driving a significant year-on-year increase in hotel bookings. The hotel booking rate around the venues was close to saturation, and some high-end hotels were "hard to find a room".

In early March, several well-known singers held concerts in Hangzhou, including pop stars and powerful bands, attracting tens of thousands of spectators per performance. From February 24th to March 2nd, British singer Ed Sheeran performed in Hangzhou for six consecutive shows. As his only stop in mainland China, tickets were sold out three times in seconds, with over 75% of the audience coming from other places or overseas.

To meet the demand, the hotel has launched exclusive packages for concerts and events, covering accommodation, transportation, and tickets. At the same time, the average room rate of hotels has increased, and industry insiders expect that the overall revenue of Hangzhou hotels in March will increase by more than 20% year-on-year. Mid to high-end hotels have particularly outstanding performance due to the combination of business and leisure needs.
